for piano and woodwinds

Commissioned by the Rabinovich Fund and written for the New Israeli Woodwind Quintet, the work is based on fragments collected since adolescence, and it pays homage to the existing works for piano and woodwinds of Poulenc and also references other pianist-composers, such as Prokofiev, Liszt, Scriabin and Rachmaninoff. It is written as a single-movement in a sort of sonata-form. It expresses the longing for a tonal language and romantic lyricism. The work has been often performed by various ensembles around the world and was recorded for the UK label Meridian in 2008.
